Many people are surprised to learn I planned my first event at age 14.  I rented the small hall at my church, decorated in blue balloons, baked cupcakes, organized special games, home made invitations and mailed them out to all the important people in my small Virginia town.  It was very important because it was not only the first party I ever planned, but my very own Mom's baby shower.

 Now years later I have come full circle. The events I plan now are larger and grander but the importance to detail and passion to create an enjoyable memory is exactly the same. Through that gap of time I moved to NYC and was exposed to new cultures and design.  The abundance of art, music, architecture and fashion helped tune my style sense and allows me to see beauty in unexpected places. 

 

Next, I was off to Charleston South Carolina. While living in one of the most beautiful and historical cities in the world, I found out the importance of hospitality and tradition.  I learned that small details like sending personal hand written thank you notes, learning people's names, having small luxuries like an ice cold beverage waiting for someone on a hot day, really does mean something special.

 

Lastly, I headed west to LaLaland and unexpectedly made a home in Long Beach, California.  I quickly became Catering Manager to a charming Gay Restaurant in the heart of the city.  This experience molded me most of all.  I learned to cater to the exact needs of each client and embrace the differences they each possess. Instead of fitting people in the boxes you have, create a new box that is as bright and vibrant as the client you are working for. After urging from clients, fellow businesses and support from family I decided to start my own company.  

 

Over the last six years I have started a company from scratch with a open mind and open heart. I began my formal bridal industry training by taking the Bridal Society Educational Course with instructor Laurie Hartwell and becoming a Certified Wedding Planner. This solid base of skills and professional mentoring was the foundation for my career.

Sweet Peach Planning has enjoyed so much success with a wide variety of couples all different in decor, musical taste and cocktail selection, but alike in love and celebration. I have now completed over 200 weddings and events.

 

Other things I love are: my handsome boyfriend (Cody), my adorable pups (Hank & Luna), buying throw pillows, shopping at local businesses, a good book on the beach, hip hop dancing (I have moves), iced lattes, puzzles, pretty stationary and going on mini adventures around SoCal.

LOS ANGELES

Originally from Central California, I now calls West Hollywood home. The creative, beautiful and crazy fast pace of Los Angeles is what drew me in and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon. 

 

I have always had a passion for event planning, coordination and design since a very early age. The first event I planned was my senior class trip to Cabo San Lucas. From that point on I was involved with planning any and every event I could be apart of. Working with Sweet Peach Planning for over four years has been a blast. I enjoy getting to use my eye for detail and building relationships with our amazing clients. 

Favorite part of a wedding day: The bride and groom’s first look, I cry everytime! It’s always such a magical and very special moment of the day.

Lately I've had my handsful with a beautiful baby girl named Ava Rayne. Since having a baby life has only changed for the better. Balancing work life with mommy life is a challenge but I wouldn't have it any other way! When I'm not working a wedding I love going on family trips to somewhere exotic like Cabo or the Bahamas. The less I have to pack the better! Laying out on the beach and drinking fruity cocktails will always be my go to vacation. Honestly though with a job I love so much, every day is a vacation!

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina I have a huge passion for arts and design. After graduating from Humboldt State University with a liberal arts degree, I made my way to New York City to pursue her dreams in the arts. One thing lead to another and eventually I landed back in California, working in food management and customer service. After having a blast planning my own wedding, I rediscovered my love of planning and designing parties. 

My two favorite parts of the wedding day are the processional when  the bride and groom make their way down the aisle to their love and open dancing during a reception. Watching everyone go crazy on the dance floor makes all the hard work worth wild. 

I rarely get the chance to let loose myself,  but when I do I love dancing the night away. I can dance to anything with a good beat and have been known to be the last one standing as the lights come up. I really try to bring my joy for parties and celebrations into ever event I'm a part of.
